Folding
Camp Ottoman
Putting one's feet up while relaxing
is a common habit for many people. Whether at home or out camping,
it's a pleasant luxury. The Camping Ottoman pictured below
was designed to imitate commercially available folding chairs
(taking up as little room as possible during storage and transportation),
but without a back or arms, to allow multiple users simultaneously
rest their feet, or to be used as a stool without the hindrance
of arms or back for camping sing-alongs.
The legs are steel tubing with a baked-on
finish. "Cherry-Mate" style rivets are used for the
swivel points. The feet and top blocks are machined from 1"
thick garolite for durability and its ability to take machine
threads. An added benefit of this is that the seat itself removable
for easy cleaning. The seat itself is made of outdoor rated canvas,
with nylon webbing sewn into the borders for strength and durability.
